About Radiology Physicians, Inc.

The Safest, Most Effective Care Possible

Radiology Physicians, Inc. (RPI) is a large group of radiologists providing specialized diagnostic and interventional care to the Premier Health network, serving the Miami Valley and beyond, from Southwest Ohio to the northern suburbs of Cincinnati north to the middle of the state. Our practice performs in facilities accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR), and imaging exams referred to us are interpreted only by those radiologists with specific fellowship training in order to provide the most accurate diagnosis possible. Advanced, image-guided procedures are performed by fellowship-trained interventional radiologists.

RPI physicians deliver imaging services comparable to major academic institutions, while still providing the patient centered focus of a private physician group. Everyone in the Miami Valley has had a family member, friend, or acquaintance who has been touched by the care we provide. Working quietly in the background, we help to guide clinicians through important patient care decisions, support the services of surgeons, and offer innovative, minimally invasive therapeutics as an alternative to open surgeries.

We are proud of our history of giving back to the community. This tradition continues through our ongoing efforts to make a positive impact in the lives of our patients and in our community. Our practice is also committed to upholding Premier Health as the healthcare choice most worthy to handle your family’s care.

Past, Present, and Future

In the early 1960s, the radiologists at Miami Valley Hospital formed a professional corporation, known as Dr. George Nichol and Associates. In the early 1970s, Dr. Nichol retired, and the name of the corporation was changed to Miami Valley Radiologists. In 1977, with the opening of the first office outside Miami Valley Hospital at 30 West Rahn Road in the south suburbs of Dayton, the name of the corporation was changed to Radiology Physicians, Incorporated (RPI). Since then, RPI has grown in tandem with the expansion of the imaging industry itself, results in the current practice size of over 41 radiologists.

Today and always, the practice endeavors to remain informed and highly skilled in the latest technology and imaging procedures, resulting in delivery of the best radiology services possible. RPI also continues to expand its clinical offerings and subspecialties in order to draw more expert radiologists to the practice.
